Why diet fads don’t work (and never will) 👇
You’re fed up and tired of being overweight. Ready to make a change with your life, ya hit the Google. A quick search has armed you with the HOTTEST diet tips of 2019.
All you have to do is perform a 24 hour fast every Monday , eat less than 25g of carbs every other day, and spin around in circles slapping your ass every 3rd hour on the dot.
The most important question you should ask yourself with any diet is, “Is this sustainable? Can I REALLY do this for more than 1-3 months without going insane? Is this a change I can up-keep for the rest of my life? ” I’m willing to bet 90% of the population won’t be too crazy about eating 0 carbs a day and putting f***ing butter in their coffee for too long (sorry keto).
A diet should not be something that you dread. It should be maintainable, and full of foods that you ENJOY. Don’t be a jackass and cut out carbs. Sure, you might lose a few pounds at first but:
A. It’s not healthy
B. You’ll be miserable and lack energy
C. The bulk of the weight you lose will be predominately water weight. You’ll literally look no different, and you’ll feel like s***.
Now don’t use this as an excuse to do the bro IIFYM and pig out on processed foods because you can “make it fit your macros.” Eat balanced, healthy foods.
Someone brought donuts into the break room at work? Sure. Help yourself to one every now and then. Don’t get so rigid that you feel shame after eating the occasional cheat meal. One healthy meal won’t lead to rapid weight loss, just as one cheat meal won’t lead to rapid weight gain.
